Westland Printers Partners with Local Design Class

Westland Printers has partnered with a local design class to develop new logo.

December 4th, 2009 - Laurel, MD - Westland Printers, a Consolidated Graphics company (CGX:NYSE), and the premier commercial printer serving the Baltimore/Washington market, recently partnered with Professor Erik Miller's advanced design class at the Institute of Art, Design and Interactive Media at CCBC. As a class project the students were charged with the responsibility of designing a new logo and brand identity for Westland Printers which recently merged with one of its sister companies, S&S Graphics.

The winner of the class design and the final logo selection will be announced on Friday December 18th when an updated website is launched.

Westland Printers' President, Matt Flippen comments "We were extremely excited to partner with Professor Miller's class earlier this fall. That said our image is important to us and certainly we had high expectations for the look of the logo. The class greatly exceeded those expectations with the quality of the designs. No doubt the future is bright for these designers!"
